Inshore Rescue

Folks,
I'm looking for a IRB (Inshore Rescue Boat), boat needs to be old but with an engine and also has to have a trailer but needs to be at a low price maybe under £1,100.

I can't pick boat up because family.

A friend of mine has an IRB lying around unused I think he intends on selling it so ill ask how much he wants for it.

However its going to cost you a fare bit to get it posted from Cornwall to Scotland.

Cheers Shaggy

Suggest a Dory instead of a RIB for that sort of money.

Hope you're not planning to do any rescuing with it....it certainly won't comply with the rescue boat code of practice

Yes totally agree if I was in distress I would not want any old person coming to my aid , only those with the correct bits of paper duly stamped by all the 'elth & saftey wallahs.

just seen one going on e bay at the moment under lifeboat heading, also just as a matter of intrest with ex boats you cannot keep or have on show any operational numbers or use any wording with refrence to lifeboat or rnli . pity as we scrapped a very old d class last year though it was past using on water

For anyone that is interested, there is a D class here:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...ksid=p3907.m29

That looks to be desperate for a new home

Cheers

Chris

I'm bidding on that one - nice winter project if I can fit it in the spare room.

The seller's user ID doesn't overwhelm you with confidence either.

Good luck . It's a crying shame to see any boat in that sort of condition, let alone a lifeboat.

Cheers
