I have cash! Wanted - 6-7(ish)m RIB with 100(ish)HP upwards

Thanks to a PPI refund my savings plan has suddenly been reduced! I'm now actively searching for RIBs in the 6+m range and engine/s to match. Must have a road trailer. Ideally to have full suite of electronics, younger than 2008 (+/-). Located in S/SW England ideally but will travel for reasonable options. Budget ivo £7K

budget is seems low for your wish list. I suspect you need to double it to hit your wish list.

Primarily the budget is the issue. But the following will all also add to the burden unless you locate a 'barn find' plus 6m, a full suite of electronics, an engine/s, a road trailer.

+1

That an't alot of money for a fairly good sized RIB, my first 6.5 /150hp was admittedly only 4-5 years old but still cost me £25k

Whats the saying......If it Flys, floats or *ucks, lease it..........

Between the length, age and price, you can probably have two of the three but not all three together.

Apollo Duck although I'm sure there are others will let you search by age, length and price and then you'll be able to see where you may need to compromise.

Don't get hung up on the age. "2008" seems a bit arbitrary ?

2000+ will bring you into 4 stroke territory and there are many well looked after rarely used older boats. This ain't a car your looking at.
However as others have said your probably going to have to go the wrong side of 10K for a decent 4 stroke 150 ish 6.5 meter and you've go to be willing to travel at least UK wide.

To get anywhere close to your spec, you’d need to double your budget as a minimum. Realistically you’re looking at £18-20k for a quality outfit within your spec. You might drop on a 2nd hand Far East, or Eastern European import sub £15k (Highfield/Brig) as these tend to depreciate quicker than the UK built hulls. In any case you need to up your budget or reduce your spec. Have you tried claiming for endowment miss-selling or industrial deafness, that might help[emoji1]
