Bombard aerotec 420 wanted

I did find a 420 and deal concluded, south UK, thanks. Do anyone have a good international parcel service to recomend in the 60 KG segment? DHL is rediciles priced, FeDex is expensive but still better than DHL, other good options?

Thanks

Hey C-Numb! See you were looking for the 420 a few years ago, why was that? And why not the 380?

Best regards

Hi

Actually the 420 is one of the biggest good SIBS available with air floor. I considered the 420 to be more roomy than the 380 and more seaworthy also. Its a good boat, had a tohatsu 25 on it. It was very seaworthy for a sib, did also a few long trips on the coast without any issues. At first tried to inflate it each time, than had it on the roof(little too big for that even that i did mad a cradle for it). Eventually purchased a small trailer, that's the only way to go in my opinion with a 25 hp(even tough it was light at 54 kg), launching is so much easier.

However the smaller kids was little scared, so upgraded to a SR 5.4. Now even the smallest doters complains if going too slow( less than 20 knots) or if there is not waves enough..

I sold the engine and trailer, consider selling the 420, also but haven't decided yet.

Thanks C-Numb, nice to hear. How much would you say a 420, a bit torn, would be worth in scandinavia?

Does the ride in the rib feel a lot safer for the kids, is the 420 wobbly because of the air floor? Or is it mostly the size?

What speeds did you come up to, if you measured?

I think tha last Year they made the 420 was 2005. It was very expensive in scandinavia at that time, but generally speaking think it should be slighly more expensive than the 380 as bigger and expensier as new. Value is very hard to say.

For my kids it was more about the size would say. When the airfloor is inflated to correct preasure its not wobly, but as 420 its longer than the 380 it is possible its more sensitive to lack of preasure.

In good conditions(very small heading chop) achieved 26-27 knots lighly loaded. 20 knots was not hard to keep with 2-3 persons. I fitted orlocks to mine so it works well also as a digny, still very light at roundabout 50 kg's

Hi again

So did you use a long rig engine for your 420? I totally missed out that this was required.
