Chris' being a salesman I'm always.....

one for proof tools. Not having had my digi camera too long I've no photos of Shuffle, the hanglider or a number of other items best not photographed on the net (Guns)! The TYX 250 is in Abersoch as is Cannondale. Jono - Ian P.D are most welcome to have a play on any at any time.

I've therefore attached a few pics that I've just taken post 22.00 hours on Sat night when instead I should have been watching Lord of the Rings.

Well spotted Stuart - as you have so keenly observed, all our engines in the NWRibsters run on a highly combustible mix of high octane bullshit and hot air

me me....
It just so happens that i have a virus skiff!!!
its a red fibreglass sliding rigger with carbon cleaver oars.
If the price was right i may part with it.
I've had the virus yole to start with Thats the white "more dinghy looking boat" its a good stable platform to row but is a little slow compared to the skiffs.
if your in flat water then the skiffs are awesome They are quite stable considering what they are about the width of a plastic canoe .The plastic skiffs are either sold with sliding seat or sliding rigger The technigue is exactly the same but the rigger option is much faster. 7-8 knots in a sprint.
Phone virus boats ask for stephan walker and he may have second hand in ?
he managed to sell my yole for me and trade up to the turbo skiff.
They are fantastic fun Over a short sprint i can hold on to the pace of an alden star but thats more efficent through the water over a distance.
hope this helps

Rowing skiff...

...i'm sure i had one, but i've just been out and looked behind my Mirror Dinghy and underneeth my 3rd Range Rover, aswell as in the boot of my MG but i can't find it sorry Graeme.

It's clear to me that RIBnet = Cyber Nutters = Boys and their Toys.

Due credit to the 'wanna B cyber nutter females' aswell.

I'm yet to meet a RIBneter without a large collection of toys, i myself have at least 5 boats, if not 10 and about as many cars. Yep, 11 cars at the moment.

Hi
My neighbour builds such rowing skiffs - albeit more traditional looking than your picture. The best contact details I can give you is Greg at Salterns Boatyard, Bursledon (on river Hamble) in Hampshire - not far from the fabled Jolly Sailor boozer! They do look good, seaworthy and quite nippy!

Good luck
Mark

Sorry to keep this thread going, but Meme, are you still looking for a rowing skiff??
I am boathouse manager for a rowing club in Norwich, and we are getting rid of some of our older boats. I've got three or four fairly stable single sculls, all come with aluminium riggers, sliding seat etc. They are in good condition - just need a good rub down really. I might be able to supply some baldes (oars) too. If your interested send me an email (tim@tmc24.co.uk)
