They do look nice but we still get a good flow of orders to make replacements out of hypalon despite the price difference

I have to say I wouldn’t pay the difference, especially with the new Hypalon tubes that Zodiac are producing for some models. They are superior in consistency and quality to anything I have seen from the UK market.

Are Zodiac hypalon tubes cheaper than those produced by UK suppliers?

I have to agree the quality of the Zodiac hypalon tubes looks good after having a brand new boat in the workshop recently

Hi Dave. The price of a Zodiac Hypalon tube is around the same as a fully fitted UK Hypalon tube. The PVC ones are around 40% cheaper.

Yup, but they wanted Avons particular hyperlon which is why they bought them and then wound them down - I was bored stupid on the subject by an Avon/Zodiac dealer last year, but he could have been talking complete rubbish for all I know.

keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer. Surely by buying out one of your major competitors gives a good shot of controlling your marketplace

Defo - I always saw Avon & Zodiac as the major players in the light leisure use sector of RIBS...however Zodiac I think had invested a lot in automated production of the smaller size hulls which Avon I think would eventually have lost out to ...so if Zodiac offered the right price ....they'd have been nuts not to agree to sell out and of course they are also buying the Avon brand value....

I'm still pleased to own a 'real' UK built Avon Avon....
