You Have Been Warned.

Had a brill day out ribbing with my freinds yesturday,on the N.west coast, until - on the way home we thought it would be a good idea to warm up in a pub with a quick sniffter, (as you do)!!
After approx 20mins we returned to the pub car park to find the rib slashed, yep some git actually took it apon them selves to pull out their stanley knife & slash the toobs.not a little slash, but four big ones about a foot long. what sort of person would do something like that?

BE WARNED EVERY ONE if you gonna leave yer rib it ISN'T SAFE.
According to the local bobby that attended, he said this is becoming a bit of a habit, he can remember 3-4 similar cases, last summer.

b*st*rds

Hope the insurance sorts it out for you.

Would probably be useful to give details of the harbour/slip/beach etc where the dammage occurred. Geoff(?) at Boatlaunch is also keen to get details of places where such experiences occur so he can warn other users.

Good luck getting it sorted and hope the local bobby catches the buggers.

Neil

I'm really sorry to hear that this has happened. I hope things get sorted for you. There are some people out there who need to be strung up by their balls.

Another coward who damages other people thing because of there own inadequieces what type of prat carries a knife let alone uses it like this.
I for one hope they die a long lingering death. But no doubt if they are found and even convicted they will get the normal 100 hours comuel service and a good telling off.

This has always been a worry of mine with a RIB - if leaving for any length of time maybe it is worth leaving the tubes all deflated and saggy looking - scruffier it looks less likely they are to damage it!!!

If you were able to ID them, what could you do other than kick the crap out of the cardboard box that they probably live in and kick their scabby dog up the arse!

Of course in this day and age the law will protect THEM more than it will the victim....

Never mind - Tony is tough on crime - he will sort it out!!!

Mates father just had his digi camera nicked from his pocket on Cardiff railway station - he was only using the train cos his car's been nicked!!! Apparently there are gangs of East European pickpockets in the UK now - makes me wonder why the hell Tony allows all these people here???

Another mate of mine is emigrating to Australia - he is going through hell trying to get through the process and yet we let everyone in!!!

Thanks all

Hey thanks every-one for all the kind words, all the e mails, messages, & kind offers of a places in your ribs, your all great guys, & good freinds. I really apprieciate all the support I have received.

May be this damage is a bit of a blessing in disguise, as I thought that it would be a good time to refurb 'n' refit now whist she's out of the water for a while, & fit all the goodies that Ive been dreamin about for so long (if the bank manager allows of course).

I am lucky enough to own another older & smaller rib, that I still use from time to time for messing about, perhaps this will become my main vessel this summer or untill the insurance squabbles are over, so, you see I can still come ribbing, (no stopping me now). No little s*it with a knife will ruin my hobby this year.

I will of course let you know the out-come, & keep you informed etc, about what happens.

If the Ol' Bill catch up with him I will post his address on here. & I will arrange a bon fire party on his head, to which you are all invited.....

Thanks again, Steve.

Steve like the rest of us I am sorry for this grief and agree that if caught the punisment won't be in keeping with the crime. I have recently been through an Insurance claim which the loss adjustor found a loophole and threw out the claim. I am fighting it with the help of a claim company. My Broker was very conspicuous by his absence during the process. The bottom line is if they can find any reason for bouncing the claim they will.

I have engaged a claims adjutster to fight my side of the case and so far have been very impressed by his tenacity, erudition and attitude. His company is called Insco and his name is Gary Lane. I have no hesitation in recommending him and suggest you contact him to see if he can asist you at the front end of your claim.
