Yamaha gauge stopped working

My Yamaha computer gauge, the one that tells you how many litres per hour your burning etc has just stopped working, nothing on the screen at all. It’s not a necessity but any ideas would be appreciated.

Check the wiring behind - hopefully something as simple as a connection that's come loose. The "waterproof" bullet connectors they use often corrode after a while - if nothing obviously loose disconnect each one connected to that gauge in turn and check for corrosion.

Thanks for your reply, but checked wiring and mine is the pre wired type with a plug end that plugs straight into a buzz bar that is then wired directly into the engines computer.

ok ,here is a photo of mine, there are two plugs on the back a 4 way white which goe to the yamaha bus rail also white ,and a 6 way black which seems to have a red and black wire to engine and the other four wires are linked in two pairs (i guess these would facilitate functions i have no sensors for )

Sorry for the late reply, busy day. Not going to be down to my boat now for a couple of weeks. But after looking at your photo I have a feeling we only connected up one of the wires to the back of gauge? So fingers crossed it’s something as simple as that? Will let you know in a couple of weeks.
Regards matt
