Yamaha 130 V4 2 stroke valuation

Hello

I am looking at replacing the engine on our diving club RIB and was wondering how much I could expect to sell the old engine for if I wasn't doing a trade in. I have checked ebay and the other boat related "for sale" sites but have only found them in the US and Australia.

Its a 1998 Yamaha V4 130hp 2 stroke in good condition for age, its an extra long shaft. Serviced every year and with relatively low hours. I estimate for the first half of its life it would not have done more than 50 hours a year and in the latter years a maximum of 10 to 20 a year. we installed a new external oil tank and associated float switch and pump last year.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Hoops

Engine value

Thanks guys

I bought credit for the valuation site before I realised they don't have a value for that age of engine (I should have looked first).

As a broad guide and given it's a Yamaha I would've thought between £900-£1400. All you need is one buyer who wants it. I think that the 'extra-long' shaft will drop its value. This is purely my opinion. I bought a Mariner 135 hp 1990 for £900 about 6 years ago and it's been great although it's thirsty.... !
