The smart guys ensure demand is greater than supply which means they can charge a premium and never need to discount.

I think you will be very happy with your choice! Have you selected an engine?

I feel your pain ...............

My 585 was about 8 weeks late, but the wait was worth it ............the attention to detail on the finished boat was superb and the only snagging issue I have had is a very slight smell of fuel in the centre console, which quickly disappears when the cover has been removed. I am guessing a very slight weep somewhere on the quicksilver fuel filter, which will be checked on the 20hr service in the next couple of weeks.

My wife hates boats but loves fishing, however, the last couple of times we have been out she has suggested locations that are a 30 mile ride ......... she begrudgingly admits that she loves the boat because she fells safe and its a pretty comfortable ride even in a decent short chop.

The smell is “normal” I put it down the the vapour permeability of the filler & breather hoses & the sealing of the console. You can fit a vent to the console which helps, but after 3 RCs I’ve stopped worrying. One of the best investments you can make is a Barton Fuel Whistle, this overcomes the infamous Ribcraft blowback when filling the tank.

I did try to change from red to orange when I realised, Suzuki removed the red from the cowling...but they already had the seats done....nothing wrong with red

No special builds, everything out of the catalog!

I've Mark on speed dial at this stage, plenty of excuses but not much progress. I know they have had a few big boats to get out around it. I think what gets to me the most is the laissez faire approach to dates. In April he said May, in May he said June, in June is was the 1st week in July...and yesterday when i was talking to him is was a maybe in next few weeks. If in April when just said July, yes I'd be pissed but it would save all the messing back and forth.

Anyways...this was not a bitch about Ribcraft thread...back to the OP, cant speak to XS but I bought a Ribcraft based on their reputation, i hope it is worth it, even ever i get it. I would just forwarn anyone buying direct, take any delivery with a pinch of salt

There is a word for this and up north it is..... this is PI$HH......

Yes, I had considered it might be 'normal' due to the enclosed space and TBH the smell is only slight.

I will definitely fit a 'Barton', the last couple of times I have used a large lump of blue paper towel wrapped around the pump handle !
