XS 990 - Views?

Folks - anyone got experience or views on XS 990 hull? Keen to understand how it handles the rough stuff? Is it from Tornado design? Cheers

Hi ! Got the 850 and it handles well but is a bit more bumpy being a wider that the normal Tornado hull. Again it is a bit better in the following seas. I know this because I work a lot with two 950 Tornados. My friend Erik got the 990 working with tours out of Oslo bay area.
You can try to mail Erik Aarum <aarums@online.no> Do say hi from me. I know he is happy about his boat and he do get out in really bad weather.

I´m very happy with my 850 It is solid built. The rulebook in DK has change since I got mine, but that was the only thing that prevented me buying the 990. We had a dimension rule saying 20 (w*l) so no way I could get the 990 approved as a commercial boat. Pretty sure you can get a test run out of Erik if you want to fly over. If you want one in a 850 just come over in early spring. The two boats are different in the feel that the 990 is bit of a bus to ride- everything happens a bit slower. Where as the 850 is more sharp in the turns
