Wreck Check!

A cracking day was had today in the North West - three RIBs out to have a look for this:

Anyway, she's still there and looking very lonely. We didn't meet another boat for 20 nm. If she slips back a few meters, she'll be a beaut of a dive in 20m!

Looted Already?

Did she look like she had been looted at all? Loads of nice electronics on board, I reckon?

Looted? As a diver, I wouldn't have a clue what that means.

It would be a brave individual who looted her before today. She is inside a very nasty boulder field and tucked under an overhanging cliff. The hull is open and awash, I'd guess that the lekkie is, um, non-operative. It was a crabber, so assume kit not specced OTT. We got to 40 meters of the hull when our common sense circuitry went to ALERT!

So we didn't loot anything....

I'm joking !

If you want to be sure to dive it in the future then lasso it and drag it out a bit

We passed (Willk, Danny and John) the scene and although I have see some wreckage in the past this I must say is like an art she is in a cave like she has been put there by hands......

That won't look to good on the resumes of the navigator and the helmsman!

How to put this one? For once I'm damn near speechless in wonder! Well, here goes - She's not lonely anymore....

Get this, four miles from the Horizon, on the other side of the bay, in identical circumstances:
"Ladies and Gentlemen and Ribnetters, I give you the Niamh Aine, sister ship to the Horizon".

All hands safe. Now, if only Kent Diving would hurry those regs up......
