I would have a look at THE GURNARDS threads for camping in scotland.

Cheers for the input guys, just need to get the outboard sorted now. Had issues with low l top end power last time. Ive rebuilt the carb since, so hoping after setting it back up i should be all good. Just need to work out how to time it up on WOT without a decent test tank. And of course somewhere nr Sheffield to test it.

You used to be able to put powered craft on at Rother Valley Country Park at certain hours if you pre-booked, might be worth a call.
