If you’re that worried about your hair maybe you should leave it at home?

Not sure I would fancy wearing a full face if going for a swim. If you want a helmet best get a ghecko, then you can look like the rnli boys especially if you get an orange one. I have the shorty visor on mine and it is great in the wind and rain.

just get a sailing cap from musto or gill with the cord that goes under your chin to catch it if it blows off

Oakley L-Frame® MX Goggle Sand JET BLACK, GRAY | Oakley GB Store

I don't have any of these yet but looking around at goggles these seem quite good. These have closed cell foam around the face which I think would be better at keeping the elements at bay. You can get replacement lenses for them and they fit over glasses.

£35 on the Oakley website.

We've just made the 'huge investment' in these. Haven't tried them yet but they feel and fit nice and for a fiver and the little use they'll get you can't really go wrong.

I’ve used skydiving goggles in my quick boat, think they cost £10, I figured if they are good enough for skydiving, then they are good enough for me, no wind in my eyes at all now [emoji106]

The reason it sticks in my mind is that ours are orange, to match the boat, & when I bought them I had the same thought I.e. Being RNLI wannabes, then Poly corrected me. I hadn't noticed that the RNLI wore white either [emoji849]

Yes, I think because all you see is orange I seemed to have presumed the Ghecko's were orange as well. Great I won't feel so self conscious next time I wear mine.

The Uvex googles a bit further down the page look nice. A bit slimmer profile, not so chunky. Still not expensive at £12.99 but the £4.99 one's still look great with decent lenses too. Good for 270mph!! that should be enough.

I bought a set of Nevica Ski Helmet and Goggles for about £20 all-in I think in Sport Direct a few years ago. Warmer than any hat! Doesn't really leak either, does me perfectly, I would recommend it

I do have also Oakley H2O.
Very comfortable. I do have a few Jobe also but Oakley can wear all the day.

Kids made this picture of me in Greece.
