Where can I get boarding ladder this week?

Looking to get a narrow transom mounted ladder to enable skiiers etc to get back on board. Nothing fancy -Compass have a s/s collapsable 2/3 step one that looks good value at 40 quid but appear to be out of stock til August. Anyone know anywhere local to Southampton that might have something similar? Have tried Chandlers like Aladins Cave and Port Solent but the only ones they have are very expensive at over 100 quid (!) or the wrong size.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers

I saw one fitted to the back of a Shearwater that Bembridge Outboards were fitting out.

If all else fails, might be worth giving them a call:

I looked everywhere for a fold down Stainless ladder that was narrow enough to fit on the back of my RIB.

I ended up buying a normal one from ebay, slicing 3 inches from the middle and welding it back together.

Its now wide enough to get a foot in, yet lets the engine swing fully.

See pic below.

It used to look like this:-

Until I introduced it to Mr Hacksaw and Mr Mig welder.

Thanks guys - some good tips. Will speak to some rib dealers . riggers tomorrow and see what I can turn up.

Nasher, whilst I'm familiar with hack saws (a bit!) I wouldn't know a mig welder if I fell over one but I guess the point is I could always have something altered if needed.
