Valiant DR 5.7 Rib

Could someone please tell me where the fuel sender unit is, on my boat, the tank is built in under the floor, I have had a good look around, and have found some inspection holes, but no visible sign of the sender unit... Is it under the console???Cheers again, Steve

Should be under one of the inspection covers if it's an under deck tank.

It's should be a round plate with two wires coming out, secured in place by five screws.

Thank you for the reply, I have checked in the inspection cover, and yes there is a black fuel pipe connected to the plastic tank, but no sign of a sender unit, and if I could see it, which I cant, I wouldn't be even able to get to it.. I might search what the fuel tank looks like, then go from there.. cheers Steve

There should be a fuel filler pipe, a fuel pick up (either 8 or 10mm) a breather pipe ( 16 or 19mm). These are all clamped. The only 5 hole one should be the sender unit.

I take it you do have a fuel gauge?? If so, check where the pipes come up in the console, where the filler pipe is. They can be at either end, or in the middle.

If you've looked at all the inspection covers, try the console where the pipe comes up.

It has to be there
