Tube repair Question

Hi guys,

Need help with a tube repair project. This is a 13 foot Rendova Rib, it has multiple patches on the end of both tubes, and it has the Halkey original short valve that is failing. Please give me your thoughts on my repair or replace options.

1- I am thinking of either repair the leaking areas, and replacing the valve out. It would look ugly but should work for another two or three years??

2-Getting new tube end made and glueing it on myself. I am in the Bay area in California and I have gotten a quote for new two ends for $500 from a shop in Florida. Not sure how tricky it is to glue the new end back on and what I should be asking for overlap and etc... It looked like on my tube end there is a seam there hidden underneath the band where the tube transition into cone shape??

3 - Get new tube for $4500 .

Take it to Sals in Alameda. Talk to Sal Sanchez.

That’s a pretty big job for an amateur.
