Hi guys looking for cheapest place to buy small amount of black tube paint as rather than put decals on boat n harbour number my work can make stencils and will paint boat name on etc . Means no peeling off n hoping cheaper than graphics

TO PAINT OR NOT TO PAINT?

I have a 7 to 9 year old 5.5m Gemini in Hong Kong that is starting to look very sad. The high UV has made the exposed surface of the tubes very powdery and hence patchy. I would love to re-tube, but I think the boat would have to go back to the UK for that. So, the question is paint or not paint? Any advice, please?

I've used liquid letters to touch up the very worn/faded Vipermax logo on my rib.

It works fine. I did one side in Spring 2012 and it hasn't worn or deteriorated at all so far.

Only thing I'd say is that you've got to be quite careful to get a nice smooth finish. Unlike normal paint, which smooths down after it's brushed on, the Liquid Letters just seems to dry with the brush marks still in it. So worth getting a smooth finish as you put it on and using a suitable brush. (I used a few different types of cheap pencil brushes). If you want a before and after picture, I can find one.
