Towbar for Camper

Hi all
Might seem a stupid question but does anyone know of a company that would fit a towbar to my camper(Hymer Camp on Ford Transit Base) before The Priory Bay Cruise on 7/8th July?
I was hoping there would be one within the Oxford/Swindon Area but the nearest so far is Stoke on Trent and they have a waiting list of 6 weeks?
Most smaller companies will not touch them so would have to be a specialist.
Thanks
Martyn

Surly if it's a regular transit chassis it would be fairly stright forward. Hayling trailers seem to have a good reputation, maybe try them. Or, maybe do it your self? I put one on my last car. Took an hour or so and I'm no expert! Much cheaper too - have a look on ebay for a cheap towbar. Most come with instructions.

mine is a towtal on a burstner 747, they do a nice job and can do some specialist towbars as well if that suits you. mine has arms that slide in so i can carry a 150kg motorbike on a rack on the back.....cool!

Watling Towbars

These people are great and helpful. They put a front tow bar on my car and did a super job:

They are on the outskirts of St Albans.

Thanks folks
Unfortunately its not the chassis which is the problem it is the overhang and there are apparently all sorts of new rules which have to be abided. Hugh - "Towtal" are the ones I mentioned, they are in Stoke on Trent and they have a waiting list beyond The Priory Bay Cruise. I will try some of the others mentioned but not holding my breath that they will be able to do it.
regards
Martyn

Towsure do them

They are bespoke made, as long as it is an ALKO chassis, which most these days are. They have a specific dept for it tel: 0114 250 3045

Hopefully that might help you out.

Good luck

Transits don't use the ALKO chassis

I made my own motorhome towbar a couple of years ago (Fiat Maxi chassis) - a bit of a fiddle, but a tidy enough job in the end. Any decent welder/fabricator should be able to knock one up for you.

What are the 'all sorts of new rules' and when were they introduced?
