Tohatsu 6.1 transom height !!

Has anyone had one of these !! The transom is 23" so should I fit a xl shaft and run low or fit a L shaft and run high !! A little puzzled on this

I personally would go with the longer shaft and lift the engine up a hole.

I believe the cavitation plate should be level with, or just below, the bottom of the hull. I'm sure more knowledgeable people will be along soon!

The Tohatsu 6.1has a long shaft transom, not a XL.
