Tilt Relay help please....

This pic is one of the tilt relys on my Tohatsu 60, The OEM replacement comes in at £80!
As you can see i have tried and failed to open and repair, i have googled 80A 12V relays and can find none similar. Does anyone have any ideas for a more cost effective repair?.

i'm assuming there is two of these on your engine for up and down, think out of the box for a moment, all it is is an electric switch, heavy load across the terminals, light load to turn it on, these are on loads of things, motorbykes, forklifts, cars, tractors and so on, if you don't want to buy the proper one have a look at something else

RIBase
It looks like it controls both up and down-hence the 3 heavy gauge terminals and the price.

There may be a Sierra (pattern parts, not the car) Mercury one that'll fit as the early Bluebands used similar but make sure it'll do the job.

glad you got sorted, you can put two seperate ones on, just link the live feed then you have two switch lines (up and down from trim switch) and two load lines(up and down wires to trim motor) i'm sure thats how it works probaly someone will tell me i'm wrong
