Thinning 3m non slip paint

I've a couple tins of the 3m 7888 non slip paint to redo part of deck.

Does anybody else use it and have you found a thinner so I can be applied easier? It's presently like trying to smear a turd over the deck!

Shelf life is 6 months - maybe it has gone off?

Appears to be toluene based.

I prefer to use antislip flowcoat but its the same too many polygrains in it so now i add up to 50% resin which gives a better finish
With the paint id imagine youd need to add more paint product rather than just thinners

No idea is there an equivalent paint in the range without the grains
