Stingher 606 Advice

Did a quick search on the forum for Stingher RIBs and didn't find much info.

I live in Malta so the type of RIB I am looking for is more of a Med Style and ideally with a rear bench seat and not a sun-lounger as some boats have.

I came across a nice tidy Stingher 606 that I have my eye on but was wondering if any forum users have direct experience with them. There's also a 686GT up for sale again but that's somewhat above my price range.

Biggest issue for me at the moment is finding a cost effective way to ship a 6m RIB+Trailer to Malta as I'm being quoted around £3K which then makes the purchase in the UK less attractive.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I looked at buying one a couple of years ago & if you like the lay out they are cracking boat with bags of storage, you may also want to look at the Brig E645 Eagle as they too are very well put together!

He runs the business and deals with the boats and if anyone can help he may be a good starting point. As for the boats they are sound quality and fit the European market very well

I ran a Predator 660 ( same manufacturer as Stingher ) for 18 months and loved the boat, excellent handling, very social and comfortable seating layout. I upgraded to a Stingher 800GT a couple of months ago and again, I'm very pleased with the boat – performs and looks fantastic. Ed @ MRL in Southampton is the importer over here and is extremely helpful.
Good luck
Lee

Thanks guys, I'm interested to know how they handle though I don't anticipate sea conditions exceeding a F4 gusting to an F5 at most. What we do get locally is a nasty swell (1.0 to 1.5m) that tends to be spaced very close together, so not sure what hull characteristics are best for this type of condition.

The Brig E645 has a nice layout too, thanks for the pointer Re: Predator 660 means I have another boat to look for

Locally I've been offered a Zodiac Pro Open 650, I heard the hulls are fairly decent on these boats?

I had the use of a Stingher 606 for a few months in The Solent and thought it was an excellent boat for its size. Also had a Zodiac 650 Pro Open for a couple of years and had great fun with it. I Thought the Stingher just had the edge.
