Stainless Screws at a fair price.

I've been looking around for a local dealer that'll sell me fixings in a small quantity at a resonable price, I've failed so far.

All the local Chandleries seem to sell those pre-packed screws at ridiculous prices (two M4 nylocs for £1.45 ). The bigger suppliers only seem to be interested in selling with minimum quantities.

Anyone got an Idea on who I could use?

S/S trade place, A27 in Portchester opposite discount Pine furniture store. Drive into small industrial estate on your left at the traffic lights. They sell S/S by weight. Min order is £5 so take a shopping list.

Cool, I'm making quite a long shopping list and they're for all the things I know I need now! I'll have to project ahead for those other fittings.

Thanks Pete, any Idea what they're called?

The place Pete is talking about is called:-

PRIORITY METALS & FASTENERS LTD
9 Murrills Estate, Fareham, PO16 9RD
Tel: 02392 200300

I have used them lots of times, they are very good, and will sell in as big or small quantities as you want.
I once brought 2 Imperial A4 SS Nuts from them.

Nasher.

I'd avoid lunchtime.

If I remember correctly they sometimes shut the counter for for an hour lunchtime if they are short of staff.

The other one is A2 A4 Fixings in Shirley. Tel 023 8078 5320

They are often at Boat Jumbles. Fair prices IIRC.

As you guys are in the know, a question about windscreens

Where can I locally pick-up a piece of 1500 X 500mm 5mm Polycarbonate, perspex or Makrolon for windscreen making?
