Stainless Rod Holders / Fabrication

As discussed in an earlier post I have been trying to source Stainless rod holders that would fit onto the 1.5" frame on my Ribcraft. I contacted a guy (Jason) via e-bay who will consider any special requests for stainless fabrications. After a few mails we came up with a way of achieving my needs and yesterday I recieved two snazzy rod holders in the post (see pics). I haven't fitted them to the boat but if they don't fit it will be my fault because Jason has made them exactly as I specified. The holders were £16.50 each inc P&P with a few quid knocked off the postage because I had two posted together.
If anyone wants any holders or anything else fabricated from stainless you can contact Jason by searching e-bay for "rod holders" and sending a question to user "js1972fishfish" or pm me and I will give you his e-mail address, he was a nice guy to deal with.
As an additional bit of cautionary info, I nearly ordered two of Jasons twin holders for the boat. I made a mock up of the holders in PVC tube to see how they would fit/look and was suprised how much room they took up and therefore how much they would have gotten in the way - moral of the story try before you buy.

Can you post a pic of them on the A-frame when you get time?

Fitted the holders this weekend, very pleased with them, exactly what I wanted. A few words of warning, if you are going to get some made, be careful of the holder inside diameters with regard to the butt size of your rods. The rods I have are quite meaty uptiders and they only just fitted into the holders. A few pics as requested.

Look neat.

I am planning to put mine on the 'outside' of the A-frame.
