SR5.4 ready to use...£1500 on ebay...!

VERY cheap 5.4... Snot exactly beautiful but for 1500 squids..

If I had the cash here I'd have bought it by now!

What is the best search description to use on ebay for ribs . If I put in RIB i get loads of clothes .
Unless I search specific ie avon rib I dont get anything and I fear I may miss a bargain because I didn't use a key word for it .

RIB BOAT and check the 'search title and description' box.

Found 5 all good projects by the look of them . Would it not pay you to buy something like that Blue avon with the Yam on the back and iether sell your boat or keep the engine and sell the boat on again . Just an idea ,

It would if I had the spare cash sat there in the 1st place but we've just spent £loads on a house and we emptied the bank account to make the 10% deposit.

I'd have grabbed either/both of them if I had a chance. I'd love to upgrade to a 5.4/

eBay searching

Ian,

Put RIB in the search box and click search. Then use the category list on the left to go to the product group. You may need to click on 'See all categories' because the ones with more stuff will show first. You should then see the 'Boats and Watercraft' (or at least Caris/Automotive) with just the RIB items.

Worth looking for R I B (with spaces - this will find stuff with full stops in as well. Also as suggested before, inflatable boat or RHIB as some people prefer.

Same sort of idea applies for bits and pieces eg for 'console' you'll get a load of games items and car parts but then refine down to the boats section.

I'm sure you've looked on boatsandoutboards.co.uk as well.

Don't go hogging all the bargains now . . .

Ok, giving all my secrets away here....

Don't limit yourself to the cars section-spend a bit longer trolling through the 'all categories' bit with 'search title and description'. Use all the search terms above and use common mis-spells too. That's how I paid £300 for my Frontera...£150 for my boat and hallmark trailer etc etc

The real big bargains are the ones that someone has totally mis-listed and can be in really stupid categories like 'everything else' or 'childcare' etc because they've made a mistake by not clicking out of the category selector and accidentally changed category using the mousewheel.

Don't forget the 'sporting goods' section either-there's a sailing section in it which gets ribs listed in it occasionally.
