FC470 Speed test
So I just picked up an FC470 from a local fire department it has a mariner 60 aluminum floor and a lightweight center console. I took it for a ride and the engine actually sounds great but there’s massive amounts of water splashing and coming in the boat over the transom. There’s no real rooster tail and it’s sucks gas like crazy. It’s a 20 shaft so I’m assuming it’s to long for this boat. I can only get to 27mph so I don’t know how much faster it should be if any. Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated
