Well now back home with photos, memories and a few bottles of Sangria and Cava. We had a great time with Deg and Jo and the Lowies with their Ribquests. Also see from Facebook that Nic Brown is in Emporiabrava where we also had a run round.

Just a few photos of our trip

I'm intersted to know the trip route the guys took too. For me, the last couple of trips I have done it non stop overnight. Catching approx 7pm ferry and arriving just after lunch time next day. Mainly because I am not sure what hotels on the way have space for my car and trailer. My route is Dover to calais. Then around Paris (usually middle of the night ) and the south over the central massive to Bezier on the Med. The head west along the coat to the Spanish border. I stay 30 mins into Spain in the bay of Rosas just around the corner from these guys. I can't do another overnighter. It's exhausting and especially as I have to go and get my caravan from storage when I get there and set all that up too.

We left Stoke on Trent at 0930 crossed via the tunnel about 1730 and headed to Paris. We went round Paris and headed to Clermont. We stopped at a number service stations enroute. The plan was to park up and have a sleep but we carried on. Went over the Millau Bridge as it was getting light. We had breakfast just after Bezier and carried on into Spain. we arrived in L,Estartit in the afternoon. It was about 1000 miles and took us 26 hours.

We did a similar trip back. Left at 0800 and arrived back in Stoke 0900 the following day. Same route around Paris.

There was a lot of traffic both going down and coming back. We were travelling in the peak time.

Yes we drove through the cave several times. We also went to Emporia Brava which would be a great base if you could get a villa with a mooring at the bottom of the garden! Nic Brown with Buddyman was there just after us

Between L'estsrtit and bay of Rosas. L'estsrtit has an amazing nature reserve just off the coast from the Marina. Great snorkeling

La balena Alegre. Almost took the boat this year, but decided not to on last minute.
I shall use the slipway of Pere pescador up the river.
Checked it out in august.
I windsurf too. Love the weather in Spain.

There's no mooring at the campsite though right?

No not allowed.
I know of a guy who said he made a mooring bouy himself, but they allowed it since he came there for over 20 years. He more or less was a citizen.
I shall leave the boat at the harbour on a trailer. Fresh water slipway, so better for the outboard.

Have you look at Camping Nautic Almata. The other side of St Pere Pescadore. They have moorings. I've been for many years. About 5 with a boat. Did not go this year and I hear the mooring situation may not be as good. But need to investigate what's going on.

Went over the Nautic Almata with my mountainbike, to check it out. Village like.
For windsurf, balena is better outlined.

Maybe you can use https://www.tripinview.com/en/presen...5125&id=483881

attached service to plan trips.

About moorings - when I started to tow boat I changed my rental requirements. Now I'm looking for apartments/houses near marina (or in marina) and always confirms if the owner can organize me place in marina for my boat and trailer. But it is for Croatia/Greece.

Have never been with boat in Spain.

Interesting looking App. Thanks I'll take good look at that. I don't want to camp anymore and want an apartment with mooring if possible. Hence my ask in a previous post. But don't want to go as far as Croatia etc. I'm tired of trawling across Europe hence thinking about lakes in the Alps.
