Solent Ribbers Monthly Bash (Dec)

Hi all

Just a reminder that the Solent Ribbers monthly get together is this coming Monday the 13th.

Churchillian Public House, Portsdown Hill, 7.30/8.00 till closing time.

Unfortunatly for the first time I'm going to miss it. Havn't been able to re-arrange a work trip, which is a shame with it being the last before X-Mas.

Next one will be second Monday in January.

Have fun all those that turn up, I'll be thinking of you whilst I'm drinking alone in a Rotterdam hotel bar.

Nasher.

Change of plan, and not that it makes much differance, but I will now be attending, as my travel plans have changed.

Boaty drinks

Yes, us new-bys will be attending the boaty drinks on Monday. The only thing is...how will we recognise anyone? Will you all be wearing Helly and Musto? Or should we wear a carnation in our lapels and carry a copy of RIB International?

Bollyfish

Hi, glad to hear your coming, I'll be there from 8pm so you can ring my mobile 07767 705589 when you get there and watch who answers the phone.

If your there earlier ring anyway and We'll arrange to meet when I get there.

As usual, does anyone need a lift. I'll be travelling from Clanfield to Portsdown hill down the old A3, and don't mind a reasonable detour.

Nasher.

Thanks very much. We'll see you there - we're coming from Southsea so we'll trundle up in the car. If we're feeling adventurous next time, we might give public transport a go...

Merry Christmas

Hi all,

Just wanted to say thanks for the invite last night to the Solent RIBnet boaty drinks. It was great meeting you all and even though I only managed a grand total of 2 pints, I still woke up with a sore head this morning .

Looking forward to the cruises,
Merry Christmas

Kathy and Izzy

Another good turnout Monday night, and a good informal Beer and Banter session had by all.

It was good to see some new faces and of course its always nice to see the old ones too.

Not a lot to say about this months evening, just to remind everyone the next gathering will be the Second Monday in January, same place, same time. I'll look up the actual date and post it over the weekend.

Can I suggest we try to add a X-mas special, between X-mas and the new year. I'll be away for a few days now and may now have internet access so let me know what you think, how about the 28th somewhere other than the Churchillian.

Port Solent? I hear its an up and coming area now the tip is closed and people are starting to live there rather than just buying "buy to lets"

Port Solent could save a couple of people some shoe leather. They may even be able to drop in by parachute.

I'd be up for a meet there.

Hi all

Managed to find a Free Internet access terminal in my Hotel.

I was thinking of the evening, but the afternoon might be a good idea, I'll have a scratch around to see what I can come up with.
The 28th sprang to mind as most should have it as a public holiday in leu of Boxing day.

Nasher
Drinking beer in a Rotterdam Hotel bar whilst on RIB.net. All I need now is a chip supper and a pretty young .........
