SOLAS reflective tape for Lifejackets

Another LJ thread....

As I am checking and servicing the lifejackets I have noticed that on most (they are all at least 10+ years old) the SLOAS reflective tape is worn in patches and the top layer is delaminating.

This looks repairable with the right tape, but I'm struggling to find either 50mm x 200m strips or a roll of SOLAS approved reflective tape. Plenty of reflective tapes but not SOLAS approved / standard.

Does anyone in the UK sell this tape, and are there any recommended brands or suppliers, or is the SOLAS approval not really necessary?

It looks like I need to replace on 7 LJs - so will need c.5m x 50mm tape.

Amazon do one too - https://www.amazon.co.uk/stickerslab.../dp/B073SCB51G

solas approved retro reflective tape is a great search term for what you're after I believe.

Thanks, Andy,

Not sure why I didn't find it earlier - maybe I'm not retro enough

Getting things ready fo the season - I have a long furlough - I've taken a decent redundancy package on the proviso I can't work within the industry until October - if I do decide to go back. That means I should be free to do a lot of boating this year

Tape ordered, arrived, replaced on 4 out of 5 lifejackets.

All passed 24 hour inflation test
All gas cylinders above weigh,t minor corrosion on 1.

Also checked the replace by dates on the auto-inflate mechanisms and the one on the re-arming kit I carry on thr boat. All at least 5-years out of date even through the 2 LJs with indicators are showing green.
