Short trip to cowes

Happy easter everyone. Her indoors and i, are thinking of making a quick trip over to cowes today, from Langstone. Mainly to give the boat a run and also a spot of lunch. I've never been to Cowes, so any pointers as, where to tie up, lunch etc, would be appreciated.

If you stop off at the ferry terminal/harbour masters office you can tie up there and the boat should be quite safe. Depending on the size of your outfit the cost goes from free to a small amount of money. The pub at the top of the ramp comes under the Green King franchise and serves nice food plus Peroni on draught which is an added bonus. Or if you follow the estuary towards Newport there's a pub on the left about a 20 minute boat ride from Cowes. Happy boating.Id be out as well but I have a family meal planned and I don't think I could get 13 people on a 3.6 mtr frib ;-)
