Seedy home made videos !!!

We’re of to Scotland for the week, I thought it would a good chance to take some pics and video of the Rib in action.
My idea is to slowly tow the canoe out to the middle of lock, get in it and let Vince drive and I’ll take some pictures. Has anyone done anything similar?

How much wake do you think it will make at speeds up to 60 mph?

Will I get tipped out? How close is to close? Do I trust Vince to behave?

Please tell me somebody else will be filming both craft from a safer platform so we can all see you get capsized by the wake on youtube.

How about seeing how fast you can get towed in the canoe. It could be RIBNETs own version of 'Top Gear'. Maybe we could call it 'Wet Gear'

We did this some years back (before we grew brains), someone who was good in a canoe, held the rope, the boat/rib nearly got up on the plane, all that happened was the stern of the canoe sunk deeper and deeper with the bow eventually pointing up at approx 45 degrees until the drag got so bad he couldn't hang on.

Next, after beers, we tied the line to the canoe (bow toggle) much better, twice as fast then it went over, it nearly killed him, It was great, have a go....

Loch where in june? better make the midge repelent industrial strength, better still, use kevlar like the locals do.

You're on We'll be there all week from tomorrow. I'm going to make Glen wear his Gecko so we can have a real live bucket effect test! To help all the ribbers with actual scientific data of course!

I've heard, not tried mind, that Avon skin-so-soft repells the midgees. Anyone want to own up to trying it?

Nope....would clash with the hairy arsed, chest wig , water skier image.

it gets that so bad up here, that once, sticking my head in the barbie was the only option to escape, came very close. Clouds of flying teeth.

Great couple of days/ shame about the canoe

Sun was out, sea was calm and no midges (until Sunday)

I think the locals are trying to keep it a secret

Yep, the barbie is the only way, lots of wet newspaper and they hate it!
