Seat foam

Looking to buy Foam to replace seat on sailing club rib, anybody know of a good supplier , looking at 20 inches x 10 x 6 or thinker.

we thinking just covering with PVC and stapling to plywood. looking for black PVC as well unless anybody has better solution !

I got some recycled stuff that was much firmer than the usual grade to do some club boats with, I shall see if I can find where we got it from.

You can get it form www.feather-fibre-foam-cushions.co.uk/foam4.htm & it is chip foam you want!

You could try the foam centre in edinburgh. they will cut to size and shape .

Before you cover the foam, give it a few turns in "industrial clingfilm" - the stuff they wrap pallets with. This will help prevent the foam from becoming waterlogged.
