Scorpion RIBs down under

Hi All,

First post in these forums, but thought some of the users/subscribers from the southern hemisphere might be interested to know that Scorpion RIBs are now available in Australia through a local company Scorpion RIBs Australia.

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section, and please feel free to move elsewhere if so!

I am sure most of the folks on this forum know all about Scorpion RIBs, but for those that don't, please feel free to visit our website at www.scorpionribsaustralia.com.au

We provide full pre and post sales support and warranty locally, of course fully backed up by the manufacturers in Lymington.

The current demonstrator craft is the mid range Scorpion Serket at 8.5, with twin 200hp Verado's. This is available for demonstration in Sydney at present.

Not sure if the "trade membership" is showing yet, but for the benefit of administrators this has already been done via paypal.

I was in Sydney over Easter and some friends took us sailing in the harbour. I fell in love with the place, its amazing! Always thought there must be a market for ribs out there if you can sway the Aussies away from their tinnies. Best of luck.

You are quite right Sydney is an amazing place for boating of any kind.

As you said, there is a love affair with the Tinnie here, and they do make a lot of sense for many people. One of the things we are trying to do is educate people that just because a boat is inflatable, doesn't mean it will pop at the first sight of a fish hook! :-)

We have had lots of interest since exhibiting at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show (QLD) in May, so fingers crossed for the future!
