SARA 4 Rescue Boat Launch

Brilliant but wet and windy day at Sharpness for the Naming Ceremony and launch of "Norman & Amy Watkins" aka SARA 4.
Boat built by Highfield RIBs supplied by Steve Harrison with Tilley Inflatables designing and supplying the tubes and tube fittings to SARAs bespoke specification.

compact but at the same time pretty spacious , very rugged aluminium hull for driving up banks and rockey ledges without damaging as easily as grp also has large aluminium dry storage locker / console in the bows as well as immersion proof outboard and self righting bag .A good joint project between Tilley inflatables and Highfield ribs to compete with and in this case win the order against some of the bigger more recognised companies in this field .

Best talk to Steve Harrison Highfield Ribs regarding the hull that's his side of it . Not sure if he is a member on here but can be contacted through Highfield ribs or he is on Face Book RHIBS

SARA do a great job. Sharpness is pretty near to me and I often pop by to see whats going on there.

Did you see the quay at low water ?, it's a LONG way to the bottom..

I really like the new launch especially as I know what work it undertakes.

Well done all

RIBase
Saw her being built and thought she looked a great alternative design.
