Safety Boat for Irish Sea windsurf crossing!

Hi

I am organising a fund raiser for two charities - mind and Cancer Research, during which I intend to windsurf across the Irish Sea from Anglesey to Dublin. I'm an accomplished windsurfer with prior experience of open water windsurfing, and was wondering if anyone would be interested in supporting me in their RIB. The RIB would have to be over 8m long with the requisite safety equipment and experience of the water local area and seas would be ideal. I have two friends who are windsurfers/day skippers/powerboat drivers who are also keen to come along in the RIB to assist where need be. I hope to make the passage in either May or September 2016, depending on when a suitable weather window opens. I have already been in contact with the UK and Irish coastguards who are aware of these plans and will be updated as they progress. I would obviously cover all fuel and can pay a fee on top of that! If you're interested then message me and I can provide further details. Your help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Ted

Ted, did you succeed in your plan.?
I am also planning a cross Irish sea trip and am interested in your project.
I am planning a West-East trip and am considering the best landfall in Anglesea.
Cheers
Guy

Fellow windsurfer here, that's some challenge, on one tack?? thats hard work. If you need another assistant happy to volunteer as chief teaboy.
