Round IoW tomorrow Sunday

Beautiful sunset in the Solent this evening and with such a good forecast for tomorrow I'm planning to go round the island tomorrow morning. Departing from Lymington around 0930 and going clockwise. Probably stop at Bembridge or Ventnor for a cup of coffee - home by lunchtime. Ribcraft 6.4 / 175hp / white hull / grey tubes / yellow radar reflector / name is Sirmoor. If anyone is doing the same or fancies joining along the way I'll monitor channel 77.

I'll be out, but not until later. Might see you as you come back into Lymington.

Hi Nigel. I bought the boat already named from someone who I believe had some connection to the Ghurkas so yes it is definitely a reference. No it wasn't Joanna Lumley! Mtwgb

If you go to Sirmoor Rifles a website I built you will see where your boat name came from.

Yes in fact I did that when I first got the boat as Im ashamed to say I didn't know the reference and it was quite a lesson about quite a period in history.
