The Forone has not stepped hull.
I have been to some of the races and it amazing to se how they can do so well when being the slowest boat and having the shortest hull in the class.
Flat water is not what they want but they perform really well in the ruff seas.
They have tappered tubes and also built the tubes futher into the boat for having less resistance to wind.
Boat makes 67knots with 2 X 250 XS optimax on flat water.

an excellent shot and as you say no stepp's, that is one fast boat for it's size and Hp nearly 80 mph from twin 250 hp cant be bad, looking forward to going to Cowes this weekend

Was suppose to go there but it looks like our new little familymember will come 2 weeks early.
Lets hope for some ruff weather

PS: Steering, drives and props is probably same cost as for both engines.
Needed to get that speed.

Is the 8,6 Shearwater a ring quality boat. And what speed do you expect from a 250-300hp. fun boat?

Yes it is, speed with a 250 is approx 50 knots and with a 300 you can add approx 4 knots.

Shearwaters look great to me - nice console with proper toilet - brilliant!!!
