Rigging a Rib

Hot on the heels of Tim, Gavin and David's excellent postings on DIY for Ribs I thought I would start a thread on people saving money by doing it themselves. The right tools for the job, in my opinion are the most important things to have. This picture was taken at Ribex of my bare boat having literally just been taken out of a container from SA.

A virgin console, utilising the templates one gets with all modern electronic gizmos I stuck these on the console to get a 'feel' if things were in the right place. Also, ensuring they fit, that they do not bump into things inside the console and 'look right'.

After having drilled holes in the plate on A-frame, the radome gets fitted. Anyone know the old fart in the picture, and prizes galore for identifying the other chap.

Know what you mean TW. It must have been nice to have a virgin.

There is a nice looking Hysucat for sale in february edition of BUY A BOAT. Same colour scheme as Charles' ex. Twin Evinrude 50's. 4/ @15k

Absolutely right Alan, it is the old git, Geezer. Out of interest, the other chap, if anyone is interested, is Malan Conradie, my buddy from SA who is the 'creator/developer' of the Hysucat.
I'll buy you a beer in Gsy in a couple of weeks Alan.
