Ribtec 655 adding bulk head

Hi are there any members who’ve been involved in designing or building ribs? I’m replacing my floor as parts of the rear section had rotted away along with some of the ply in the bulkheads. Was considering adding another bulkhead just to give more strenght about quarter of the way up from the transom as this the main sitting area where the jockey seats are and also
Standing area for 2. But I’m thinking that when they design these boats they don’t just put bulkheads in for the sake of it and could me adding another actually compromise the ride of the boat structural strength, make the boat to stiff solid not enough flex etc. I could be over thinking this so would appreciate your advice or opinions.
Thanks Matt.
