well done Nasher, don't worry about the grieve that you got for organising it (from the people who never came, how's that work!), we all thought it was good food with good people, so when's the next one, in the summer, bbq, beer festival at bucklers hard, pub on the beach at colwell bay iow, extreme sport fest at freshwater bay iow, after whats been going on with my mates dying, the more the merrier, LIFE'S TO SHORT!

Hi.
I'll do a breakdown later this evening.
However, big award of the evening, the lifetime achievement 'Duck', went to Mrs Biff - Purely for putting up with Biff for so long
Nasher.

Thanks Nasher
I think I speak for all, when I thank Nasher for his efforts in once again organising such a great night out.
If it wasn't for Nashers enthusiasm for these social gatherings, I'm certain these regular annual "Xmas" get togethers would have stopped many years ago.
So thanks Nasher for the continued and tireless effort you put in every year to make these evening such a success!

It's not so much who won what, more a case of what they did with it once they had won it - I guess you could say that it came in handy, Andy
Thanks Nasher, good food, good company, very pleasant evening.

As for this - I was humbled to receive "Best artistic re-arrangement of the seating whilst under power" award. - At least I think that's what it was for!
It was whilst on a lively trip to Brighton last year (see post http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=36912).
Thanks again.

Sorry about the delay in posting but could'nt remove Mrs A from the computer yesterday. As you will have gathered from Bogib's post, the three Icelanders and I made it safely back to Poole after another uneventful trip. Bogib took the helm most of the way, allowing me a chance to enjoy the view of the lights of the Solent and Bournemouth/Poole Bay.
I suspect that, after the incident with the near sinking/puncturing of Grimalkin at her mooring in Portsmouth, I am already a nominee in next year's awards for the Purple Helmet prize which I took this year and which already has pride of place on the lounge mantlepiece! Luckily, an inspection of Grimalkin in the daylight on Sunday has revealed no damage and all is well (save for a new bow line being required!).
It was good to see so many familiar faces and a couple of new ones and (as already said but can't be repeated enough) many thanks to Nasher for organising and co-ordinating the event which was thoroughly enjoyable.
David

Sorry I didn't make it
After hustling poor Nasher for ages to get the date set for the meal, I had to duck out at the final minute.
Hope everyone had a good time and look forward to the next meet, I may actually get there next time!!
Mike
