Came to exactly 1400 kgs.
As I'm starting to look to swap the 5.5 out for a 6m thought I'd best do a search on weights, especially as I've found a lovely looking Ribeye that would fit the bill nicely.

I remembered the thread on the Ribcraft weight so went a hunting - not too bad and just about inside the Rav4 towing capacity.

So thoughts I'd check the Ribeye - oh hell!

Boat - 1000kg
trailer - 375 kg
Engine - 200 ish

Fuel (125l), anchors, kit - kills my 1.5t limit stone dead!!

won't be getting one of them then - unless I'm allowed to change the tow bus too, which isn't overly likley........................

Indeed, new Land Rover Defender 90... from £40k or 110 from £45k!
Electric towbar, and can haul up to 3,500kg.

Who would buy new ..just to Tow a Boat?....unless maybe it's through you're company?
At the mo for the Boat Im driving a 2005 Toyota Landcruiser LC3 6speed manual ...at a cost of a 10th!! of a New Disco...its under 100k miles (barely run in) and most service history runs like a watch and pulls like a Train
In the past I've used Shoguns Discoverys Range Rovers Landcruisers and others ...All did a Job For me..But the Toyota wins out for towing across the Board especially for economy ease and cost Maintanace every time!
(2000rpm at 70mph)
You don't have to re-mortgage the family Pile to get a decent reliable Tow Car... That is for sure.
As said ...Life is Short!
When the reaper comes to visit ...it won't be want you've done you regret it'll be what you haven't!

Like the Ausies Say...
"If you want to go into the Bush... get a Land Rover....
But if you want to come out again get a Landcruiser

“Allowed” - has a familiar ring to it [emoji23] my dream is a cabin rib or one with a heads compartment for a toilet. Somewhere around 8-10m. What I am allowed is the subject of a few years negotiation!
