RIBex was due to take place in Portsmouth this year but was cancelled due to lack of interest.

The RIB International web site says that they are negotiating a new venue for 2004 but that is the only information currently available.

You could come to Southampton for the boat show in September. It isn't only RIBs, but it is a good show and there will probably be plenty of friendly RIBnet people to buy you a pint of Guinness!

Last year, booking was dead easy, although I did go on a weekday. You went to the booking tent and they allocated a time. There were loads of spaces. Don't know what the deal is this year though. Ask Charles how to get in for nothing But keep it a secret! I reckon you might have to buy a round of drinks on Herm to find out how though

Southampton Boat Show

Hi Everyone,

How do I get hold of that guiness smilie ? Any help J.K.

I was out on the water last year in the Honda race boat (One Design) racing I belive. What a rush, I have never been so fast on the water.

I think the booking system will be tha same for this year's show. Safety has been really tightend up due to the incident of previous year.

More Beer will my liver take the strain? Any ideas DM

See you all soon

Kevin, you need to queue at the cyber-bar behind this lot!!!

IRO safety at the boatshow, last year it was co-ordinated by the guys from Aquapower Sea School and OnBoard the Power Sea School after the rather low point of the previous year.

I've just spoken with David at Aquapower, and they're doing the same format again this year "try a boat" - the exact boats not confirmed yet, but he advises booking early (ie before 10:30 on the morning of the show, or ring in the evening before) if you want a quick whizz out on one.

Rib Exhibition.

Both land and water based stands.

Next Year.

In Southampton.

Nothing to do with Rib International or Hugo?

No discounts to any religious organisations

Interested?
