Ribex 2005

I am intending to visit RIBEX 2005 on the saturday on my own boat. Because of tide timings where I launch and the fact that I have trouble getting up in the morning I'm not likely to get to Cowes until 1130 hrs.

Because berths are restricted I have a feeling I might turn up and not get somewhere to put my boat. (I have this problem everytime I go to a harbour or marina).

Could anyone recomend somewhere else to berth within walking distance of the show. Or am I worrying about nothing. It seems in all the pics I have seen of last years show that there were loads of RIBs able to get moorings.

If the Yacht Haven is full then berth at East Cowes (upstream on the left) then hop on a water taxi to get there

Town Quay is first come first served but you can raft up. Try giving Shepherds ring 01983 297821 a 3 min walk to the show

or Medina Yard down from the chain ferry and a short walk into town 01983 203872

and as Paul has said East Cowes Marina 01983 299276 water taxis run frequently up to midnight Sally water Taxi ch 06 harbour launch ch 77 its £3 return .

Its only a few weeks away. Is anybody going? This year RIBnet seems a little lacking in interest?

I went to last years RIBEX and wasn't terribly impressed with the lack of stalls on offer. There was a great turn out of Demo RIBs and some great displays going on. What made my day special was an offer to go round the Island on a treasure hunt by some special peeps, expensive BBQ and talk by Mr Priddy. Also a generous offer to take me back to Warsash at 01:00 hrs by someone I'd just met . You know who you are.

If I go, it'll be to meet up with a great bunch of people.

Andy

We have decided not to have a stand this year.
I will be there though.

Am planning to travel down Friday evening then be around the show Saturday and some of Sunday.

Be good to catch up with those of you that will be there.

Dan, Want a lift?

Regards

Des

We only have a certain budget for exhibitions.
Last year I had to look at the shows I do and make some changes.
I felt that the Sportsboat and Rib show was better for us.
Being there we are in fornt of a much wider group of water users.
Not just ribs but PWC's up to motor cruisers and everything in between.

Whilst this show is very new it offers the prospects of becoming a very good show.

Although we have no stand at Ribex the Icom will be in the forefront of the event in a number of way

Our support for the rib market has not changed.

Pete,

Could you guys find somewhere esle?
I would like a good nights sleep!!

Regards

Ribnet's Temporary H.Q.

Hi All,

We will be there again this year, I will be helping out on a stand for Ocean Rib's as they will be exhibiting this year for the first time.

I am sure there will be enough of us to meet up again in in the Fountain Hotel.

Lets see who is going at then set a time to meet up. Say 4-5pm for those of you who get real thirsty

Cheers.

Graham, will be there Friday evening onwards.

Jon, just let us know which room you are staying in and we will be the soul of discretion, as we burst in at 3 am with fire extinguishers blazing
