Rib on Loch Lomond...any advice?

Just back from a couple of days on Loch Lomond with work unfortunately, but is looks a great venue to take the rib to explore and camp etc...

Has anyone done it on here that can offer advice as to slipways etc and the "right to roam" in Scotland ...can you literally camp anywhere?

Many thanks

Max

Have a look at this thread http://www.rib.net/forum/f50/loch-lo...sib-64279.html there is some pretty good information in there.

There's plenty about Loch Lomond elsewhere on the forum but in terms of the camping question: put simply NO:

(1) The right to "wild camp" is significantly restricted on the East side of the loch following persistent problems.

(2) The right to "wild camp" never extends to arriving by motorised craft/vehicle anyway it is an ancillary right to your right to walk, cycle, sail, paddle or ride over most land or water.

That said, a common sense approach means if you are responsible and don't aggravate people you will be fine outside the prohibited area on the East shore.
