Revenger insurance

Anyone have any recommendations for insurance on a 27ft revenger?
Most insurance companies I’ve found so far won’t insure it because it’s top speed is over 45knots.

Try Peter Matcham @ McComish Insurance he specialises in ribs and my Ribcraft 6.8m maxes out north of 45 knots

The OP's concern is negated by 50knt limit on LIESURE CRAFT (Plenty will insure High Performance Water craft with commensurate price hikes!) with "Craft Insure" ..... excellent service!..better pricing than some of the above to.
...,,I have compared

I’ve been with craftinsure for the previous 2 years on a smaller boat and always had excellent service but they’ve told me their limit is 45knots so wouldn’t be happy to insure it being capable of doing over that threshold so I’m now looking elsewhere unfortunately.

Revenger Insurance

I have my Revenger 29 insured through Towergate. I top out at 41.5 knots and speed hasn't been an issue.

Ok...I'll check my cover tomorrow...at the beginning of the year it was the same as the last 15yrs +.. 50knt limit on pleasure use RIB's
...But I do have a Ribcraft!

Maybe it’s a new rule they’ve brought in, yes was a bit gutted to have to discontinue my policy with them, although a 50 knot limit would still pose a problem as a high powered revenger would be capable of exceeding 50 knots.

Have you actually spoken to craftinsure? their standard policy doesn't cover swing moorings but a quick phone call and a small extra premium got me cover. They are very helpful when you talk to them

Have you tried Euromarine. Maybe worth a call. Always found them very helpful over the last 16 years.

What about lowering the prop pitch and sticking where you are

Previously I have paid an extra £250pa for additional cover from 45knots to 60knots so take a seat before asking. Companies that hiked it up were craftinsure and gallager formaly portmore.
