Revenger 25

Morning!!

looking for some views on the Revenger 25. the pictures show tubes are very tapered at the bow. does this have a negative affect on following sea capability?

most of our boating is done in the solent area with horrible short steep waves. whats the hull like in these sorts of conditions.

Only experience of revengers i have is a very short ride on a 29 inboard which seemed ok but impossible to tell in the short time!

What is the help position like, i am used to jockey seat layout on ribs and although we sit to helm our current boat, not sure when we are going that bit faster!

Not thought too hard about the engine yet but guess a 200 / 225 opti or Etec. not really wanting a verado because i like the noise!!

Thanks in advance.

Zippy

Hi Zippy.
We have tapered tubes on our Cougar and have not noticed any difference to the Scorpion. It does in theory, pierce the waves not ride over them. Are you planning new?
The Verado engines are amazing..I dont think I would go back to 2 stroke
Call me if you want a test spin in mine..

Thanks Tony,

not really sure at the moment and is of course dependent on getting rid of our current boat.

would like something we can trailer, decent turn of pace and good sea keeping. looking to spend around 30K give or take for the right boat. seen a nice Revenger 25 but no engine hence the question. The Verado's are so much more to buy in the first place tho! i have to admit, the do look coool!

always liked the look of them but never actually used one in anger!

The Cougar would be on the list but its a little over budget and not many on the second hand market either!

Not a 25 but my boat has a hull based on a Revenger 29. It is an extremely soft riding hull with no vices.

Revenger have an excellent name so I would go for it.
