Removing Antifouling From Tubes

I am removing the antifouling from my RIB that the previous owners had applied. There are about three coats + and the International 'Interstrip' is making light(ish) work of it but it is still a nasty job. There is an area of the inflatable tube that is also antifouled but I am nervous about using the Interstrip on this for fear of damaging the tubes.

Does anyone have any experience of removing antifouling from tubes?
