ye your probably right as he has been going on a bit about the new RB since he was out in one last month!! I think there are still two things in his road so to speak, selling his present pride&joy and convincing 'the other half' that is is a good 'spend' in this financial climate!1

This is a completely new one from the Team at RB there should be very little drag on the tubes, at rest as the tubes are still oot the water. This is not the norm from RB team but it should make for a very fast 300hp boat!
More pics of the willk craft to follow!

They'll touch the water once he's filled it full of contraband!

Damn your lights! I bet Callum £10 that it would take you 9 posts to mention Ospreys.

I wonder about those tubes... My trip out in the prototype hinged on helping lug 350kg of stuff onboard to make sure the tubes DID touch the water. I wonder did someone change his mind?

My guess is "tubes in the water at rest, just out when on the plane".

I think there was an option to drop the tubes but the new RB Stormforce 850 OB with twin 150 Suzuki engines will be even lighter than the 850 IB open Yanmar 315 diesel with both boats sharing the same hull format.

The big difference will be that the 850 OB will have more weight in the deck fit out with the wraparound console, rear built in bench seat and longer range fuel tanks.

2 x 150hp Suzuki Outboards 430kg

1 x 315hp Yanmar Stern Drive 526kg

How about another £10 on the tubes in/out? You will know soon as the 850 OB has a quick turnaround time, to be in the water before the start of the season, and I am sure there will only be a tea spoon of fuel in the tanks when it gets launched!

So... is this your new boat then?

All bets are off!

I'm sure that the person who commissioned her would appreciate a bit of Discretion regarding their identity...
