Spotted this when it first came up and emailed the guy. He wanted £1250 for the whole package including the engine and battery etc. Seemed a pretty sweet deal. I would've gone for it if I wasn't a good 5 hour drive!

Yes he said that to me too but when I wanted to see it running he said he has sold the engine to a friend but I was willing to do the drive(south Yorkshire) if it was ok . :-)

'Twas me wot got it.
I was the winning bidder & fingers crossed at £770 it was a bargain! I've sourced a 40hp tohatsu from elsewhere so hopefully it'll be a straightforward job sorting out the package.
In the end the proceeds/profit will be donated to Crawley Sea Cadets to help with their funding.

Good Job! Hope it works out for you. I reckon it'll make a decent project. Keep us informed of your progress

All being well it should raise a fair sum.
Just recently sold one, admittedly found at a bargain price and made £750 for the sea cadets - mostly a clean and tidy up, plus replacing seat & cover, and minor tube repairs/upgrade.
Current one is a bit more of a challenge, just replaced the 'ply' in the transom & lots more to do! Hopefully the next (this one) will be like the first one - simple and with lots of 'added value'!

Picked up the boat yesterday (another story!), and took it with DavyBuoy round to Ed (RiffRaff) at Dartmouth - yes it is one of his previous re-tube jobs and to confirm they are hypalon tubes. All good so far!
Generally it's quite a clean boat and you could just add an engine and be off out on the water.
We're going to do a bit of a little tidying/tlc first and then we'll ad the engine which will probably be a tohatsu 40.
As we picked the boat up we realised that whilst the basic trailer is fine the bearings, rollers, jockey wheel and anything else attached to it was rust - sounded like towing an angle grinder. So we had a trip to CM Trailers in South Brent just off the A38 - many thanks to them (sorry forgotten his name) for sorting out the bearings at short notice.
So watch this space.....
