Prop Pulveriser

For the second time in as many months, I have pulled a substantial lump of wood from the western end of the Solent. Last Sunday I came within 6ft of hitting the small tree trunk in the photo at 40+ knots At 8 ft long and weighing around 80 pounds it could easily have made a mess of my lower leg...maybe even worse. Is this a growing trend - anyone else seen any such thing in the vicinty?

I fished out a tractor tyre just off hamble once. Extremely heavy and large, like yourself only spotted it lying underneath the surface when running past it at around 55-60 knots. When in a busy shipping and boating area, you have to be extra vigilant.
